Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge

Set in the subtropical forest, on the magnificent lagoon and surrounded by birds, there are no outside facilities to distract delegates. Special events can be organized to facilitate the tropical ‘bush’ experience, e.g. sundowner cruises on the lagoon, canoe trails, beach or forest hikes, bird watching trails, marine excursions to see the wildlife, game fishing trips, also ‘on location’ talks about beach ecology or battlefields. More specialized and daring adventures such as ‘paintball’ and similar team building activities can also be arranged.

Venues

The main conference room (Achtzehn Convention Centre) comfortably caters for up to 120 delegates, with many different conference configurations. Free WiFi Hotspot at these two venues for your communication needs.

The chalet lounges with their covered patios are ideal as breakaway room for up to 10 delegates each. For informal get-togethers there is also an open sided pavilion overlooking the pool area, suitable for up to 40 delegates. Our venues are equipped with top class facilities and equipment including data projector. Other requirements can be arranged.

Catering & Lodging

All catering is arranged by the on-site Raffia Restaurant, which serves an a la carte menu, but also does set menus, function dinners, outside braais, and function cruises on the lagoon.

Individual requirements can be arranged.

Accommodation is provided at the Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge on site.

Indoor facilities include the temporary exhibition space in the Visitor Centre, the Education Shed alongside the Cafe, and conference facilities in the Old Farm House.

Our outdoor space can be used to host markets, music events, team building, marathons, cycle races, and more. It is also possible to use the Release Sculpture and other locations on-site as the backdrop for films and music videos.

The Imbizo Conference Centre

Imbizo Conference Centre, set in Empangeni on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, offers a large multi-functional hall that can seat up to a 1000 delegates. In addition, the venue has a tiered auditorium, a boardroom and smaller break-away rooms. Ideal for conferences, the centre also manages other functions such as weddings, exhibitions and breakfasts.

Imbizo Conference Centre is a multi-faceted venue with a team that offers tailor-made events. The main hall can seat a 1000 guests, the auditorium a 100 guests and the boardroom 20 guests. The break-away rooms are ideal for smaller meetings.
