Beachwood Mangroves

Nestled alongside the Umgeni River and a stone’s throw away from the city, Beachwood Mangroves is a must for nature lovers. Explore the mangroves on an elevated boardwalk or visit our education center. The Beachwood Mangroves are open to the public on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 8am to 1pm. Go on a guided walk with a KZN Wildlife Honorary Officer through three trails where you’ll learn about the fauna and flora that call this place home.
