The diverse and extensive menu has a wide range of starters ranging in price from R55 for the delicious Peri Peri Chicken Livers, to R68 for Mussels. Main courses range in price from R119 for Calamari and the popular Mozambique Peri-Peri or Lemon and Garlic Chicken cooked in the traditional Portuguese method, to a seafood platter for two including a Lobster for R430. Popular combos are also available such as the Chicken and Calamari, and the Chicken and Prawn dishes, people familiar with Julio’s fare have grown to love. Lunch time options are also available with meals such as Chicken, Beef, or Lamb Prego, all well priced for sizeable portions. The dessert menu has something for everyone, as well as a traditional Portuguese dessert Serradura, which is home made by Julio’s wife, Leny. Along with the surprise new additions to the menu, the restaurant also has a cocktail menu, making it a perfect venue for after work sundowners or lazy afternoons watching sport on the large TV screens. There is a kids menu and the restaurant prides itself on being family friendly. Trading hours are Tuesday to Sundays, midday to 10pm.
