WHERE Good Food AND Great Memories ARE MADE!
Welcome to the Waffle House in Ramsgate.
We have been serving wholesome, freshly made Belgian waffles since 1991. We believe that food should be fresh, wholesome, nourishing, as well as delicious. Great care is taken in the preparation of your food; this includes the use of whole foods and quality ingredients in our recipes. To make your food just that bit more special, we try to use organically grown vegetables and salad produce whenever possible, avoiding foods that contain additives, preservatives, and colorants. We aim to perfect our waffles to every standard measured by our customer’s individual needs.
Established in 1957, this historic South Coast landmark is nestled in the tranquil sub-tropical edge of the Ramsgate Lagoon. Once you’ve tasted our unique waffles, finish your visit with a leisurely walk across the quaint wooden bridge to the beautiful Ramsgate beach for a swim or a laze on the sand.
The Waffle House nestles in a unique natural environment on the banks of the iBilanhlolo River, with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Perfect for lovers of nature, you can see:
Birdlife at play amongst the trees and reeds, including wagtails, red bishops, kingfishers, woolly-neck storks, Egyptian geese.
Water life including mullet, bream, frogs, and crabs
Animals including monkeys, otters, fruit bats, and leguuans
Or you can take a leisurely walk across the famous wooden bridge, through Tanglewood reserve, and onto the beautiful Ramsgate Beach or sit next to the small bamboo forest at the river’s edge.
